MothMan
...
My name is Tony Knox and I have been working as a professional
artist researching the phenomena of MothMan since late 2004.
One day, whilst on a photo-shoot in Liverpool, there was an
eruption of panic and chaos in the city as members of the public
hastily ran past me.
From the disarray I could hear shouts of, "What is it?"
Curiosity got the better of me. I hurried in the opposite direction
to everyone, towards Bold Street, the place from which the chaos
seemed to be coming from. It was here that my vision captured
a golden shimmer and I heard the distantly familiar sound of
humming. The sound seemed to take me back into my past.
Initially, I presumed it was male. For a brief moment the creature
stared straight at me. Something inside me connected with him.
Time seemed to freeze. Gold from head to toe, neither man nor
creature, a strange metamorphosis of ‘being’ that
seemed to exist out of time and place.
This was my first encounter with what I was soon to realise
and whom the public named as 'MothMan’. Since my first
inaugural experience with 'MothMan’, I have continued
to research him in an attempt to discover more about the creature:
to find out its habitat and purpose, if any.
I have followed traces of his paths from media and public reports
throughout the world wherever there have been sightings of him.
There are similar questions that are attached to these sightings:
is it an apparition of warning, a protector or simply a man
in a suit of gold? This website is to document my research into
the enigma of this strange and bewildering creature.
